Dear parent, carer or person concerned about the well being of the children and young people in our lives

I am extremely concerned at the prospect of our young people and children being given the covid vaccine. While the Joint Committee of Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) say that the government should hold off injecting our children till further data becomes available, I would suggest this is a temporary stay of action. The UK has had the ignominious triumph of having one of the world’s highest death rates. Some see the solution in continuing lockdowns, more testing and ultimately the vaccine. We argue that the solution lies in medical treatments, such as hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin rather than in vaccination. Before anyone allows their child to be vaccinated they might like to caste their eye over this fact sheet for health care providers administering the vaccine.

Firstly, we notice that the trials conducted for children were massively smaller than the trials conducted for adults.

For the adult trial 37,586 participants 16 years of age or older were followed for a median of 2 months after the second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine. These adults were equally divided between the vaccine and placebo group.

The BBC recently reported on the vigour with which India is rolling out its vaccines, whilst reminding us of India’s high rate of infections. But while India has had many infections, the rate of infection compares favourably with the rest of the world. India has also consistently maintained some of the lowest rates of death found anywhere.
